Moss Class (EYFS)

Moss Class at Beoley First School provides a nurturing and engaging learning environment for its 20 reception-aged children. The class follows a blend of teacher-led instruction with a play-based approach, encouraging exploration and discovery through a balance of indoor and outdoor activities. Phonics is taught using the Floppy’s Phonics scheme, ensuring a systematic and engaging foundation in early reading and writing. The curriculum is carefully planned to develop key skills across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), fostering creativity, independence, and social development. Staff support each child’s individual learning journey, ensuring they feel confident, valued, and ready for the next stage of their education.
