We were slightly worried at Beoley First School today when headteacher Mr Philp was replaced for the day by Professor Severus Snape. The children were all joyfully dressed up in a fantastic range of costumes from a really wide range of books, yet here was Professor Snape ruining the vibe with his serious face and desire to turn all activities into 'Potions lessons'. There was lots of creativity on show during World Book Day as many children created a 'book in a jar' summing up a favourite story they have read with images and objects placed artistically inside jars that are now on display in the School Hall.
